The Ronald Gillespie Award for Students of Inorganic Chemistry
- An annual prize known as the Ronald Gillespie Award may be
granted to an
exceptional student in the field of Inorganic Chemistry.
- The Award will be granted by the Council on the recommendation of
the
Faculty of the Department of Chemistry.
- The qualification of candidates is considered by the Head of
theChemistry
Department and is awarded at his/her discretion.
- The Award is for outstanding scholastic effort in Inorganic Chemistry, preferably by a student who is graduating in the final degree year in the Chemistry Department and continuing their education in a PhD program in Inorganic Chemistry.
- The value of the Award is £500.
- No application is necessary.
- The Award will be given in one instalment in the
autumn of each academic
year at the Department’s annual prize giving ceremony.
The Head of the Department(s) will notify:
- The successful candidate.
- Professor Ronald Gillespie
- The successful candidate.
- Awards are subject to the provision of the General Regulations.
