Castillejo Prize

Founded in 2002 in memory of Professor Leonardo Castillejo of the Department of Physics and Astronomy

  1. prize known as the Castillejo Prize may be awarded in each session.

  2. A Prize is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of MAPS.

  3. The Prize is awarded to an outstanding finalist of either the Mathematics and Physics degree or the Mathematics and Astronomy degree. Only one prize may be awarded per year.

  4. The value of the Prize is £100.00

  5. No application is necessary.

  6. The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Joint Board of Examiners of Mathematics and Physics and Astronomy.

  7. The award is announced in July.

  8. The College reserves the right to vary these regulations should it become necessary to do so in order to ensure the continued use of the resources in the fund.

  9. Awards are subject to the provision of the General Regulations.
