Duncan O'Dell Memorial Award
This fund was set up in 1994 with donations from his family, friends and colleagues to commemorate Dr Duncan O'Dell, Lecturer in Zoology at UCL, who died in 1993
- One or more Awards may be made by the Council in each
session on the
recommendation of the Faculty of Life Sciences.
- The Awards are made to assist undergraduate students in any
area of the
biological sciences who are suffering financial hardship.
- The maximum value of the Award is £120.
- No formal application is necessary; Course or Departmental
Tutors refer
needy cases to the Faculty Tutor who will assemble an ad hoc working
group (to
include the relevant Tutors) to consider such cases.
- The College reserves the right to vary these regulations
should it become
necessary to do so in order to ensure the continued use of the
resources in the
fund.
- Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
