Mark Gretton Prize in Greek
Founded in 1989 from a Memorial Fund in memory of Mark Gretton, Lecturer and Departmental Tutor in the Department of Greek and Latin 1965-1984 and Research Fellow 1984-1985
- The Mark Gretton Prize may be awarded in each session.
- The Prize is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of
the Faculty of
Arts and Humanities.
- The Prize is awarded for the best overall performance in Beginners
Greek.
- Candidates must be students of the College but may be from other
Departments.
- The value of the Prize is £30.
- No application is necessary.
- The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Head of
the
Department of Greek.
- The award is announced in July.
- Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
