Wiley Prize

Founded in 1997 by John Wiley and Sons Ltd, publishers

  1. A prize known as the Wiley Prize may be awarded in each session.

  2. The Prize is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences.

  3. The Prize is awarded to the First Year undergraduate student in the Department of Computer Science who has achieved the best performance in Programming courses offered by the Department.

  4. The Prize takes the form of publications by Wiley to the value of £225 - the prizes are Wiley Book Vouchers for 3rd year, £100, 2nd £75 and 3rd £50.

  5. No application is necessary.

  6. The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Head of the Department of Computer Science.

  7. The information will be sent back to Registry on the Prize Return Form by the 3rd week of June.

  8. The award is announced in July.

  9. Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
