Morris Prize

Founded by John Morris, Professor of Geology, 1853-77

  1. The Morris Prize may be awarded in each session.

  2. The Prize is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences.

  3. The Prize is awarded for Geological Sciences.

  4. The Prize takes the form of books, instruments, or materials to the value of £30.

  5. A candidate must be a student of the College.

  6. No application is necessary.

  7. The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Yates-Goldsmid Professor of Geology.

  8. The award is announced in July.

  9. Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations
