L.F. Vernon-Harcourt Prize

Founded in 1920 by a bequest under the will of L.F. Vernon-Harcourt, Professor of Civil Engineering and Surveying, 1882-1905

  1. The L.F. Vernon-Harcourt Prize may be awarded in each session.
  2. The Prize is awarded on the recommendation of the Undergraduate Board of Examiners in the Department Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering.
  3. The Prize is awarded for outstanding merit in the final year of the B.Eng or M.Eng Degree in Civil Engineering.
  4. The Prize takes the form of books, instruments, or materials to the value of £100.
  5. Candidates must be students of the College who have attended a course of study leading to a Civil Engineering degree.
  6. No application is necessary.
  7. The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Undergraduate Board of Examiners of the Department Civil, Environmental & Geomatic Engineering, acting on behalf of the Head of Department.
  8. The award is announced in July.
  9. Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
