Examination Re-entry Fees

Fees per Unit

While you are enrolled at UCL and have paid a composite fee for a particular session you are not required to pay a separate fee for entry or re-entry in that session for any UCL or University taught examination as an Internal Student, nor to an examination for a UCL Diploma or Certificate. If you are not enrolled and wish to re-enter you will be required to pay the appropriate fee as follows:

Undergraduate Course-Unit Programmes Fee (£)
 Up to 1 Course-Unit (minimum charge) 100
1.5 - 2 Course-Units 150
2.5 - 3 Course-Units 200
3.5 Course-Units or above (maximum charge) 250
Undergraduate Non Course-Unit Programmes Fee (£)
One element 100
Each additional element 50
Up to a maximum (for any one entry) 250
Postgraduate Programmes Fee (£)
Up to 30 credits/one component (minimum charge)* 100
Each additional 30 credits/component* 50
Dissertation/Report 150
Up to a maximum of 350
Resubmission of Thesis for specialist doctorates 186

* 20 credits, if the candidate was registered under the 120 credit Masters degree system.

You should confirm your intention to re-enter via Portico, the UCL Student Information System. Once you have done so you will be sent an invoice from Student Fees.

Withdrawal from Examinations: Non-Registered Students

Please note that, should you make an official withdrawal once you have paid your re-entry fee, you will not be entitled to a full refund. The amount refundable (if any) will depend upon the date of withdrawal.
