Geospatial Seminar Part One: an Agent-Based Approach to Policing

In the first of three collaborative CPC/Geospatial Big Data seminars, on January 27, team member Sarah Wise spoke about her research in agent-based modelling. Her talk featured the work she has done as part of CPC project, specifically her simulation of Metropolitan Police officer movement and collaboration. The work aims to capture the way interactions among officers allow the force as a whole to create guardianship, and is intended to support analysts in creating police tasking goals.
