Influence of the Constitution Unit

Our research has had an impact in a number of different areas: most recently one of our reports gave rise to the new Cabinet Manual, and another to establish a Backbench Committee for parliamentary business. We have been influential in devolution, human rights and the courts. Read more about our policy impact »

Through our wide network of associates we can call upon people with direct experience of working in government or parliament, and involve them in projects either as advisers or as the principal consultant. We also have a great deal of experience in organising private and public seminars and conferences, and have done so in conjunction with the Civil Service Commissioners, Committee on Standards in Public Life, Public Administration Committee, Electoral Commission, Information Commissioner, and Ministry of Justice.

We have particular interest and expertise in freedom of information and data protection and can provide training for FOI and DP practitioners as well as consultancy on specific areas of FOI or DP compliance. We have a team of experts, all honorary members of staff at the Unit. Meet the team »
