Simon Kaye is working part-time as a researcher with Meg Russell on her Select Committees project. He is also studying for a PhD in Political Theory at Queen Mary, University of London. His research interests include democratic theory, British politics, historiography, classical liberalism, deliberation, complexity theory and the history of political thought.

Simon was named a 2010-11 Humane Studies Fellow by the Institute for Humane Studies (IHS, George Mason University, VA) and has presented papers at conferences hosted by the IHS and the Political Studies Association.

His first peer-reviewed publication – Challenging Certainty: The History and Utility of Counterfactualism – appeared in the American journal History and Theory in February 2010, and is available to read online.
