Hilary Jackson

Hiliary Jackson

Hilary was Head of the Northern Ireland Office when she left the civil service at the end of 2011 after a career of over 30 years. She worked in five different departments on a range of different social policy issues. She is now Trustee for CRI (Crime Reduction Initiatives) a health and social care charity. Hilary joined the Constitution Unit in 2012 working first on the Unit's special advisers project. She is author of the Unit's guide 'Being a Special Adviser' and co-produced the video series that goes with the handbook. Hilary also worked with Ben Yong on a short project on government lawyers. She is now part of a team looking at devolved government in Northern Ireland.
