Bogue Research Fellowships
Call for applications: Currently Closed
Applications are invited for Bogue Research Fellowships, which are funded by a major legacy to UCL and are intended to enable UCL postgraduate students (subject to the approval of the funding agency) and junior postdoctoral researchers (normally within 6 years of obtaining a doctorate) in the biomedical sciences to learn new techniques and/or carry out research over periods of a few weeks to a maximum (exceptionally) of one year (but normally less), in a laboratory or laboratories in the USA or Canada as part of their doctoral studies or postdoctoral research programme. The Fellowships are provided primarily for the purpose of enriching and developing the research careers of the Fellows. Fellowships can provide either the full costs of such visits or supplementation for other support. All areas of biomedical sciences are covered, but under the terms of the legacy those working in the areas of Clinical Medicine and Psychiatry cannot be considered for Fellowships, although individuals carrying out laboratory research in clinical departments are eligible.
Applications are considered twice a year. Usually in the Spring and Autumn each year.
Further details and application forms and guidance notes can be downloaded from http://www.ucl.ac.uk/lifesciences-faculty/bogue or by contacting Jane Inge (x 40879; email: firstname.lastname@example.org), Faculty of Life Sciences. Applications (8 copies) should be submitted to Jane Inge, Room 241, Life Sciences Faculty, Medical School Building, 74 Huntley Street, UCL.
