The 2013 id² conference will take place May 16th-17th at UCL. Hosted and funded by CoMPLEX, the conference brings together students, from doctoral training centres in the UK and abroad, with a shared interest in the application and development of tools from mathematics, physics, computer science and engineering to problems in biomedical science. The format will consist of student talks, a poster session, as well as plenary lectures by external speakers. The theme of the conference is the role of quantitative tools and modelling techniques in addressing questions in the biomedical sciences at the level of the protein, cell, tissue, and organism. The aim is to facilitate academic discussion among students working on similar research problems at different institutions in a social environment that encourages the exchange of ideas.
