Timetabling
Each CLIE course unit is scheduled around the availability of those students who register to take it; you therefore must attend the timetabling session for your course to have an input in when your class is scheduled. You will be given the time of your timetabling session at the interview with a language tutor.
All language course units (0.5 and 1.0 course units/15 and 30 credits) run for BOTH Term 1 AND Term 2 (i.e. October to March), and the timetable is set for both terms.
Class and room information
Class and room information will be available on the UCL Online Timetable from Saturday 06 October 2012, and will additionally be displayed on the Course Units Information Board from Monday 08 October 2012 at 08:45 (Monday classes only; all other days will be available on the Information Board after 14:00). In order for your language course unit class to appear on your Online Timetable on Saturday 06 October 2012 you must have completed all registration steps with the CLIE no later than Wednesday 03 October 2012 and been assigned to a group.
The Online Timetable now also offers a calendar subscription service allowing you to get a feed of your personal timetable directly to your live@UCL account and many other calendaring services.
Please note that it is not possible under any circumstances to attend or join a group unless you have been officially registered for it by the CLIE.
Late registration
There is the possibility to still have an interview after 28 September 2012 and register; please check back here or visit the Course Units office as soon as possible.
Once classes have started on Monday 08 October 2012 we only accept registrations subject to availability. Please visit the Course Units office as soon as possible for further information including availability.
TEFL course unit
There are 21 places available on this course; places are allocated after interviews (group and individual) have taken place. The dates for interviews are 07 June, 26 and 27 September, and 01 October 2012.
To apply:
- Complete the LCTE7900: TEFL 1.0 Course Unit Application Form (also available from the CLIE reception), which must also be signed by your Departmental Tutor.
