Peter O'Loughlin

Peter O'Loughlin

National University of Ireland, Maynooth hosts Ireland’s youngest law school and I was part of the second graduating class from this institution, having studied a Bachelor of Business of Law. In 2013 I completed an LL.M. at the same university, specialising in Corporate Law and undertaking modules such as Investment Funds, White Collar Crime, Restructuring & Insolvency, whilst also studying for an extra-credit module in Mandarin Chinese. I am currently pursuing a second LL.M. at UCL, specilaising in Competition Law. I am interested in the enforcement of competition law and my dissertation proposes to focus on damages actions in the EU, with particular emphasis on the interplay between public and private enforcement.
