Greek and Latin Careers Forum 2012
YOUR CAREER, YOUR FUTURE!
5.30–7.00pm, Wednesday 22 February 2012
Room 410, 4th Floor, Institute of Archaeology, Gordon Square
OPEN TO ALL UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS IN THE UCL DEPARTMENT OF GREEK AND LATIN.
As youth unemployment approaches 50% across much of Europe we’re keen to help all of you (undergraduate or postgraduate) think about your career options when you finish your degree. And we’re delighted to be able to announce a Greek and Latin Careers Forum that will feature speakers from the fields of consulting, law, the civil service and the arts – some of them graduates of this Department – who will explain their roles and how they got them, taking your questions and joining us for (free!) drinks and nibbles so that you can approach them informally.
The event will be chaired by Robert Donovan (UCL Careers Liaison Officer) and our speakers will include:
Professor Maurice Biriotti – Chief Executive of SHM, which works in public and private sector consulting: a former academic who studied classics as an undergraduate.
Alex Darbyshire – Administrative Director of English Touring Opera and formerly a
lawyer working in the film industry.
Daniel Instone – Head of Atmosphere and the Local Environment Programme for the Department of the Environment.
Bruno Kronbergs – UCL graduate in Classics, now a trainee with Deloitte Consulting and familiar to many of you in the second and third year.
Anuj Moudgil – UCL graduate in Classics, now a trainee solicitor with the global law firm Baker & McKenzie.
