The Masterclass will be led by Richard Sorabji, and will focus on a discussion of texts in preparation for his Keeling lecture, 'The origins of the idea of moral conscience, and subsequent consequences' (October 10th). The Masterclass will be followed by a supper for all participants. There is no registration fee for the Masterclass, although registration is necessary and there will be a limit on the seminar size. In addition, a small number of bursaries, covering accommodation for the 9th of October and return economy train fare, will be made available for students travelling from outside London in the UK who have no recourse to other funding. Students wishing to secure a place at the seminar are asked to contact the organiser, Fiona Leigh (UCL), at fiona.leigh@ucl.ac.uk

Those also wishing to apply for a bursary will be supplied with an application form (should the number of applicants exceed the number of bursaries, they will be awarded on the basis of relevance to the student's research project).
