Mark Ford is the editor of London: A History in Verse (Harvard University Press, 2012), a volume of around 750 pages that opens with John Gower and ends with the present day. It is the first significant gathering of the poetry of London ever published. He is also interested in the poetry of New York in the post-War era, in particular that of the New York School of poets, whose work he has edited in two volumes for Carcanet (2004, 2006) . His biography of the French writer Raymond Roussel (Raymond Roussel and the Republic of Dreams (Faber, 2000) presents a detailed account of Paris in the Belle Epoque.
