Biography: Nadine is a Research Associate in Statistics working on our Wellcome Trust Strategic Award. She holds an undergraduate degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University in Canada and a Masters degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Nadine is currently working on her PhD on clean delivery practices and perinatal sepsis in rural South Asia. Over the past six years CIHD has conducted cluster randomized controlled trials (CRTs) to evaluate the impact of community based participatory interventions through the use of women’s groups on reducing neonatal and maternal mortality. Nadine’s focus at CIHD is to conduct meta-analysis using individual level data from these trials for different questions surrounding neonatal and maternal health such as the impact of safe delivery kits on neonatal mortality.
Prior to working at UCL, Nadine worked as a Research Biostatistician at the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative (SCI), Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Imperial College. Nadine has also held an internship at the World Health Organization's Western Pacific Regional Office based in Manila, Philippines.
