Biography: Rodney is a Teaching Fellow in Global
Health and an Honorary Research Associate in Anthropology. He completed a PhD in Anthropology from
University College London with a thesis entitled Unimagined Community: A
pragmatics of nation and social unity in the Republic of Panama. His
research interests include: Medical Anthropology as it intersects with
Material and Visual Culture; Belonging and Politics of Representation
and Well-being; and Anthropology of the Future. Rodney is currently
involved in research that investigates barriers to cultural competency
training for European physicians and in an initiative that uses
technology led collaborative frameworks to encourage university and
industry to address and solve future global problems.
