Biography: Since joining CIHD in November 2009, Anni has been working with Dr Jolene
Skordis-Worrall on the economic analysis of women's group interventions under
the Wellcome Trust Strategic Award. Among other work, she has developed
Excel-based tools to analyse the cost effectiveness of community interventions
and long-lasting bed nets. Anni's main research interest lies in the economics of new technologies, in
particular applying theory and methods from the diffusion literature to the
women's group interventions. Her PhD thesis on the international diffusion of
new technology was examined at the University of Warwick in January 2010. She
also holds a MSc in Economics from Warwick and a BA in Economics and Politics
from the University of York.
