Expertise: Qualitative research methods; rural Amazonian health; health-seeking behaviour
Biography: Glyn has an MSc in medical anthropology and
conducted his fieldwork on medical pluralism and health-seeking
behaviour in the Peruvian Amazon. Prior to joining CIHD in 2007, he
worked for various international health and development NGOs in Latin
America and Africa. He is currently based in Mumbai working with NGO, SNEHA, on
interventions to improve maternal and newborn health. His PhD thesis is
focusing on the behaviour of informal private health providers in
Mumbai’s slums and patterns of maternal care-seeking by women residents.
