Clinical Tutor (Clinical Psychology)
I am a clinical tutor on the UCL Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) within the Research Department of Clinical, Educational & Health Psychology.
I also work as a clinical psychologist in the Adult Learning Disabilities Services with the Islington Learning Disability Partnership in London. In my clinical work I have particular expertise in working with individuals with challenging behaviour and autism spectrum conditions.
My reseach interests include:
- Self-perceptions and self-esteem in people with learning disabilities; linked to ideas of stigma, group identification and the impact that perceived stigma has on psychological well-being.
- Autism specturm conditions and interventions aimed at supproting people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
