    Biography

    Dr. Michel J. Menou is an independent consultant in Information and ICT policy & Knowledge and Information Management. Since 1966 he has worked in more than 80 countries, mostly under contract of international co-operation agencies, on the development of national and international information systems, national information policies, curriculum development and teaching of information science, users sensitisation and training. He authored or co authored 2 books, 105 journal articles and conference papers and some 150 technical reports. He is currently a member of the editorial board of 7 scholarly journals and a member of various scientific and professional societies.

    From 1992 he played a key role in the international research program on the impact of information on development, sponsored by the International Development Research Centre (Canada) and related subsequent developments (e.g. Bellanet/LEAP, Impact, Evaltica). He is an adviser to the board network of Community Telecenters of Latin America and the Caribbean ( http://www.tele-centros.org).
