Dr. Andrew Boyd

Biography

Dr. Andrew Boyd’s research interests include information flow modelling, information retrieval and semantic integration methods. As an associate of the Centre for Information Behaviour and the Evaluation of Research (CIBER), he is an editorial board member of and a frequent contributor to Aslib Proceedings: New Information Perspectives . His recent contributions to the Journal include editing a special issue on “Information Disparity: Research and Measurement Challenges in an Interconnected World” (Vol. 56, No 5, 2004) and receiving the Outstanding Paper Award for Excellence for his paper "The goals, questions, indicators, measures (GQIM) approach to the measurement of customer satisfaction with e-commerce Web sites" (Vol. 54 No. 3, 2002).


In addition to his research, Andrew has 12 years of commercial experience in strategic technology and information management – specialising in the development of customer relationship management (CRM) and transactional information systems. He recently completed his PhD in Information Systems at City University where he conducted research on evaluating and documenting information flow in the low maturity organisation. He also holds an MSc in Information Systems from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University.
