Centre for Editing Lives and Letters Director's Seminar
The CELL Director’s Seminar (Thursdays,
10.30-12, Room 111, Foster Court) is a weekly gathering of graduate students and
staff, led by Professor Lisa Jardine. As well as welcoming a dynamic group of
visiting speakers from pan-disciplinary fields, they aim to discuss topics of
all kinds related to the theory and practice of graduate life.
Moving: Pathways, Transport and Place
Wednesday 13th November 2013, 2 - 7pm, Foster Court 307, SELCS Common Room
A workshop for advanced doctoral and postdoctoral students with interests in
early modern travel writing, historical geography or environmental criticism
with expertise or an interest in Digital Humanities, in particular the
visualisation of data and the interactive mapping of historical information. We
are interested in the relationship between actual and fictional/textual journeys
and the ways in which this distorting lens can be represented visually.
