Centre for Humanities Interdisciplinary Research Projects (CHIRP)
CHIRP was established in September 2012 to provide a
hub for interdisciplinary research activities based within Arts &
Humanities and Social & Historical Sciences, and to
amplify the reputation of these distinguished areas of UCL research
activity as widely as possible, both across UCL and
among outside institutions.
CHIRP has run several high-profile events to showcase interdisciplinary work at UCL, and has funded a variety of interdisciplinary research projects. We use our social media sites to publicise funding opportunities, conferences and workshops to our growing list of followers.
As of 1st August 2015, CHIRP no longer disburses funds for interdisciplinary initiatives. CHIRP initiatives and funding are now managed by the UCL Institute of Advanced Studies.
