Module Profile: eLearning in Healthcare
The professional bodies which accredit healthcare professionals are all committed to promoting life-long learning and professional development. Many staff, however, have few or no learning opportunities.
The challenge is to find ways to deliver learning experiences at a time and place which is convenient to staff and to managers. Many are hopeful the solution lies with online learning.
This module looks at the educational, technological and organisational issues related to the design, delivery and evaluation of electronic educational resources for patients, students, health care professionals and other NHS staff. It prepares students to identify, commission or design, evaluate and implement elearning in a healthcare setting.
