Module Profile: Information Systems in Healthcare
This module provides an introduction to the role and architecture of information systems in a modern health environment.
Students are introduced to aspects of computing theory and practice to enable them to understand the complexities of the issues faced by the users, developers and managers of information systems.
The module content is illustrated by reference to relevant projects in health informatics, particularly major infrastructure projects in the NHS and equivalent international organisations and based on practical experience of developing and managing information systems.
