1^st October 2012 - 31^stJuly 2013	Dissertation in Health Informatics (Option 1)
Teaching Block 1 15^th October - 14^th December 2012 Continuing Education applications must be received by 17^th September 2012	Principles of Health Informatics explores how the delivery of healthcare is changing to harness the potential of new technology. eHealth: Patients and the Internet studies the use of information and communication technology to improve or enable personal and public healthcare. eLearning in Healthcare looks at both educational and technological issues related to the design, production, delivery and evaluation of electronic educational resources.
Teaching Block 2 7^th January - 1^st March 2013 Continuing Education applications must be received by 10^th December 2012	Healthcare Quality & Evidence Based Practice confronts the big question of how scientific evidence can be used to improve the quality of healthcare. Shared Care & Electronic Health Records covers the research work, standards and challenges involved in the realisation of comprehensive and communicable electronic health records.
Teaching Block 3 4^th - 22^ndMarch and 8^th April - 10^th May 2013 Continuing Education applications must be received by 4^th February 2013	Clinical Knowledge & Decision Making explores how improved knowledge management can improve decision-making in both the clinical and policy contexts. Research Methods in Healthcare enables students to critically appraise and use evaluation and research evidence in healthcare. Using Information in Healthcare Management deals with evaluating, analysing and presenting healthcare data as a basis for management decisions in healthcare organizations.
3^rdApril 2013 - 31^st January 2014	Dissertation in Health Informatics (Option 2)
Teaching Block 4 13^th May - 5^thJuly 2013 Continuing Education applications must be received by 15^th April 2013	Patient Safety & Clinical Risk examines the relationship between patient safety and informatics and explores the function and application of the risk management process. Information Law & Governance in Clinical Practice considers ethico-legal issues pertaining to clinical practice. Information Systems in Healthcare provides an introduction to the role and architecture of information systems in modern health care environments.
