Piano Hire

The Steinway piano is located in the Haldane Room and can be hired for non-CMC events taking place in this room. Permission to hire the piano is at the discretion of the Committee.

2010-2011 piano hire rates:

• £10 per hour (£5 per hour for registered UCL Student Societies) or
• £30 for a morning, afternoon or evening session (£15 for registered UCL Student Societies).
• If you require the piano to be fully tuned (the current rate is @£50), this charge will be passed onto you and the normal charge will be waived.

To request permission to use the piano please complete the booking request form and email to the CMC Chair. Confirmation of your booking (depending on availability) will be emailed to you, which you should print out and present to the Foster Court Security office on the day of the event, where you will be issued the piano keys.

Please note that keys will not be issued without a valid confirmation email from the CMC Chair and they must be returned directly to the Foster Court Security office after the event has concluded.

A cheque for the appropriate fee, made payable to University College London, should be forwarded to:

If you wish to engage musicians for your event you may utilize the Chamber Music Club mailing list. Please email the relevant detail 23 January, 2011 c.uk; rates should be negotiated directly with the musicians.
