CES academic staff

The Centre for European Studies draws on the unusual breadth and depth of expertise at UCL in the fields of European history, politics, cultural studies, literature, art, film, and theory. Staff come from a wide range of departments. In the most recent government Research Assessment Exercise, all the departments obtained ratings of 4, 5 or 5* on a scale of 1 (lowest) to 5* (highest), with the vast majority achieving 5 or 5*. A number of them have been adjudged by The Times to be among the top three UK departments in their respective areas. The aim of the Centre for European Studies is to pool this expertise and to provide graduate students with a gateway to the incomparable opportunities and resources which London offers for the study of Europe, its politics, history and culture.
