Some subsets of data and a number of tables can be downloaded to be used for teaching, training, or to give users an idea of what working with the Longitudinal Study is like.
These are extracts from the main Longitudinal Study database, in the following subjects: ethnicity, limiting long term illness, survival and regional differences. Exercises are available for each one, or you could just explore them.
These are summary tables of categorical variables from the Longitudinal Study data. Each topic has research questions, notes on the data analysis and key findings, as well as the tables themselves.
These are intended for
potential users of the Longitudinal Study who want to check whether there
will be a sufficient number of cases for their project. Please contact
us if you have suggestions for additions to the list.
For each table the metadata sheet provides the population included and the derivation of the variables.
*NB* Be aware that these are simple tables, designed to show sample numbers in various categories in a way that can be quickly understood; if the same topics were examined in a research project, it might be appropriate to exclude some of these cases or to construct more complicated variables. If you wish to cite them, please contact CeLSIUS first (firstname.lastname@example.org).
