IPES Student awarded Royal Commission Fellowship

Student Adam Funnell writes in a recent blog on the BBC's Research & Development website about being awarded a Royal Commission Fellowship for his work on networks capable of supporting 4k and 8k Ultra-High Definition video and immersive and interactive content.

The Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851 provide support through fellowships and scholarships to support the very best candidates to conduct advanced study and research in the fields of Engineering, Science, the Built Environment and Design.

Adam, a current IPES CDT student, joined the Centre after successfully completing his MSci in Physics and is now working in the Optical Networks Groups here at UCL. The Fellowship will facilitate his Research for the remaining two years of his PhD; read the full article on the BBC's Webpages
