The Comprehensive Clinical Trials Unit at UCL

The Comprehensive Clinical Trials Unit at UCL was formed in 2010 as a specialist unit at UCL with a specific remit to design, conduct, analyse and publish clinical trials and other well-designed studies. The CCTU at UCL will fulfill UCL SLMS' and UCL Partners' needs for an academic trials unit to increase trial capacity and quality for researchers at UCL and UCL Partner institutions.

The CCTU at UCL is part of UCL’s Clinical Trials Collaborative Group along with the Cancer Research UK, UCL Cancer Trials Centre, the MRC Clinical Trials Unit and PRIMENT Clinical Trials Unit.

Dear Investigator,

Due to a combination of unprecedented demand from UCL investigators and a temporary staff shortage the Comprehensive Clinical Trials Unit at UCL (CCTU) is unable to support as many trial as we would like to.  From 1st November 2015 and until further notice, CCTU will only be able to consider adopting trials where Chief Investigators are applying for commissioned funding calls from major funders.  We apologise for the delays this will cause with your trial, but we will do our best to be back to full capacity as soon as we can.  The CCTU may also consider supporting trials that are already funded trials where the grant is sufficient to accommodate the costs of a CTU.
