Prof. Jones writes for the New Scientist

Professor Kate Jones, has written an article for the New Scientist, entitled Books and apps make animal-spotting easier than ever.
The article, which can be found here, details the rapid rise of technology and natural history guides, and how they are used to identify animals whilst in the field. The article also describes the recent use of apps on smartphones and how they can be used to help identify trees, plants and animals, by using a variety of sensors.
