Talks and Events Programme

Whether you are thinking of working in the UK during or after your studies, returning back home or are considering postgraduate study, the Careers Service is here to support you. We have developed a bespoke programme of careers talks and events that address your specific needs. Throughout the year you can attend careers talks on subjects such as:

  • writing effective CVs and applications for the UK
  • understanding the UK job market
  • visa options post-graduation
  • marketing your UK experience at home and internationally
  • succeeding at interviews and assessment centres in the UK
  • postgraduate study and funding
  • working while you study

You can also attend specific events that bring you in contact with UK and international employers. Look at the International Students' Events Programme for more details.

International Futures

We are aware that many International Students may be interested in pursuing a career back home or indeed internationally. Our International Futures site, (hosted by our parent body, The Careers Group), contains graduate vacancies and internships outside the UK plus country specific labour market information. It also contains general information for International Students on living, studying and working in the UK.

Going Global

Going Global career and employment resources include more than 10,000 pages of constantly-updated content on topics such as: job search sources, work permit / visa regulations, application writing guidelines and examples, employment trends, salary ranges, networking groups, cultural / interviewing advice… and much more! You can also visit the Global Forum to chat about living and working abroad.

UCL students and staff can access this online resource using your normal UCL User ID and password, (not your My Careers Service username). GradClub members can only use this resource on the computers at the Careers Service. LOG IN NOW...
