Panel Forum
Monday 29th October: 5.30pm - 7.30pm
An ideal opportunity to explore a range of popular career destinations for science students, discover what the day to day work entails for a diverse selection of jobs, the skills and experience you need to get in, and how to find opportunities. The evening consists of two elements:
Question and Answer Panel Session - 5.30pm to 6.30pm with six speakers from the following areas:

- Consultancy (IMS Consulting Group)
- Education (Teach First)
- Intellectual Property (Withers & Rogers)

Life and Clinical Sciences Sector Spotlight
Tuesday 30th October: 1pm – 2pm
Gain an overview of recruitment trends, skills needs and industry developments in this large global jobs sector. Find out about the wide range of specific job roles in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, clinical research organisations and healthcare companies from our invited speakers. Those confirmed so far are:

Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry Careers Overview
Thursday 1st November: 1pm – 2pm
Gain a comprehensive overview of non academic scientific careers from experts from three leading professional bodies:
- The Royal Society of Chemistry
- The Institute of Physics
- The Institute of Mathematics
Each of our speakers will give short presentations on careers that make use of the skills and knowledge gained in these subject areas, followed by questions from the student audience.

Science Employer CV Checking
Friday 2nd November: 2pm – 5pm
BOOKING IS NOW CLOSED FOR THIS ACTIVITY
A consultant from the specialist scientific recruitment agency SRG will be on hand to give individual feedback on your CV or cover letter. Appointments (20 minutes) with the consultant will be available from 2pm and 5pm.
BOOK NOW!
- You MUST register your interest in advance using your "My Careers Service" account. You can register now and bookings will close when slots are fully booked or, at the latest, 1 working day before.
- Once registered, you will need to visit or call UCL Careers Service to pick one of the available time slots which are booked on a first come first served basis.
- You will have until 5pm on the Wednesday before the session to pick a time slot. If we haven't heard from you by then, your registration will be cancelled.
- Non-attendance: Due to the nature of the 1-1 appointments and the time kindly given by employers for these, failure to attend your appointment without giving at least 1 working day's notice to cancel your booking will result in your My Careers Service account being deactivated so you won't be able to book other Careers Service events in advance.
Please note: Slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. There are a limited number of slots (only 8 per employer) and these are likely to fill up quickly due to popular demand. However, any appointment slots which are cancelled will automatically be made available for re-booking through My Careers Service so please do check regularly for availability.
