The Information Team are generally the first point of contact for all users of UCL Careers and can help you make best use of the range of services we provide. They also have specific responsibility for maintaining and updating the resources available in the Careers Information Library and through Careers Tagged - our online Careers Resources Library.
Having graduated with a degree in Maths and German, Martin began work in an academic library before moving into careers information provision at the University of Westminster. Having developed his experience in this field for five years, he moved to UCL in 2005 to manage the Careers Information Team and oversee the development of the information resources held both at the Careers Service and on its Online Careers Library. He also has specific responsibility for overall maintenance of the Careers Service website.
Linsey studied English with Linguistics at the University of St Andrews, and worked in social care with children with learning disabilities during her time at university. After graduating, she completed a Primary PGCE at Reading University. She worked for 5 years in London public libraries as a Library Assistant and Children’s Librarian, and also completed an MSc in Information and Library Studies by distance learning with Aberystwyth University. With the information team, she is responsible for the day to day running of Careers library and information services. She also works to maintain up to date information on Careers Tagged and the UCL Careers website.
After graduating with a BA (Hons) in English and History from St Mary’s University College, Frances worked for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Library Services, before returning to study in 2010 to gain an MA in Library and Information Studies from UCL. Since then she has worked in information provision in a variety of sectors including Financial Services and Education. Frances joined the UCL Careers Information Team in February 2013. Main areas of work include assisting in the day to day running of the Careers Library and updating both physical information resources and online resources such as Careers Tagged as well as the Careers Service website.
