Karen has been the Director of UCL Careers since 2004. Her work involves managing the team of c.50 professional staff and taking responsibility for the strategic development of careers and employability provision for the 35,000 students at UCL as well as recent graduates and post doctoral staff. Karen studied Physics at university and began her professional life teaching. After working in secondary education in the UK, she moved to Colombia, South America. She helped set up and subsequently became Head of the first school in Bogotà to offer the full British curriculum to both expatriate and local students.
As well as being the Director of UCL Careers, Karen is also responsible for the provision of careers education and advice to the departments of Medical Physics & Bioengineering, Physics & Astronomy and Space & Climate Physics. Karen is also a member of the Directorate of The Careers Group, University of London – the parent body of UCL Careers.
Moira joined UCL in October 2013 and is PA to the Head of Service and Departmental Administrator for UCL Careers. Prior to joining the team Moira worked for the Crown Prosecution Service for a number or years. She has also worked as a Teaching Assistant in a local Primary School and previous to raising her family worked in Fashion Retail.
Weronika joined UCL Careers as an intern in 2013, following graduation from Queen Mary, where she studied English Language & Linguistics. For two years she organised employer events that focus on student skill development, namely the Skills4Work programme and the employer-led events within the Global Citizenship Employability Programme. She worked closely with a variety of employers to develop UCL students' employability skills.
Weronika is now on secondment as Marketing and Communications Manager, overseeing the internal and external communications of UCL Careers.
