Research students have access to a specialist adviser in twice weekly sets of appointments. These last 30 minutes and you can discuss any career related issue, such as:
- Your CV, cover letters and application forms
- Decisions about what to do at the end of your studentship, for example choosing to stay in academia or starting a career elsewhere
- Planning your next steps to get where you want to be
- How to market your research and other skills to recruiters
Tuesday mornings between 10am and 12pm
Thursday afternoons between 2pm and 4:45pm
Appointments can be booked in advance by phone on 020 7866 3600 or in person at the Careers Service. Alternatively, email us at: email@example.com, state that you're a Research / PhD Student and provide a contact number, your UPI number, (which can be found on your student ID card), plus dates / times that you're available to come in.
We can also offer individual sessions of up to an hour for those who need further advice and support. These are available by referral of the careers adviser after one of the 30 minute appointments.
