Recruitment Events
Every year UCL Careers Service organises a number of events for graduate employers to meet and speak with UCL students. We enjoy working with a variety of SMEs, multi-national corporates and FTSE100 companies from the public, private, commercial and not-for-profit sectors and we encourage any employer to have a look at the events we offer to see if we can help you with your recruitment needs.
UCL Careers Fairs
Exhibiting at an industry specific UCL Careers Fair will raise the profile of your organisation amongst hundreds of our most motivated students actively researching graduate and undergraduate opportunities in your sector.
Past employers at our Fairs said:
“We really enjoyed the Engineering Fair and were impressed by the number of students that had an interest in what we do as a business and what our graduate schemes can offer them. It has generated a good level of interest and hit rate to our website.” Invensys Rail
"Very happy with the enthusiasm and research shown by the students, who were very friendly." Ericsson
"Great Fair. We saw a steady stream of students, many of which were top quality." Olswang

Employer Presentations
A presentation is an effective way for an organisation with a strong “brand” as a recruiter to meet interested UCL students and graduates and encourage them to apply.
We can host and promote a campus presentation for you, or promote an event at your own premises or other venue. If you are not looking for a formal presentation we offer other campus events such as 1:1 drop-ins with individual students and graduates, interviewing facilities or promotional stands where you can distribute literature or chat to interested students.
If your organisation is new to recruiting at UCL, or you are at all worried about how well you are known as a recruiter, we recommend taking part in one of our Fairs or Themed Weeks instead, where you are guaranteed to meet a large number of students.
For more information about presenting your organisation to UCL students take a look at our flyer.
Please contact Pat Molloy on 020 7866 3622, or careers.events@ucl.ac.uk.
Themed Career Weeks
For sectors not covered by our range of Careers Fairs we hold a range of Themed Career Weeks which include skills workshops, presentations, panel discussions and career forums. These bespoke events are an ideal way of promoting both your sector and your organisation. Areas covered include:
- Academia
- Arts
- Charities and NGOs
- Environment
- International Careers
- Media
- Museums and Cultural Heritage
- Science
To find out more about these individual events please email careers.events@ucl.ac.uk or call 020 7866 3622
PhD Employer Forums
PhD Employer Forums are events specifically targeted to inform UCL research students about different sectors outside of academia. These events are an ideal way of promoting not only your sector but also your organisation as students will be wanting to know about the different roles within the sector, opportunities that are currently available and the best routes in for progression. As an employer you can get involved by participating as a speaker or coming along to the networking session after a panel discussion.

UCL PhD Fairs
Our PhD Fairs are mini careers fairs which give you the chance to engage specifically with UCL research students wanting to find out more about graduate/research opportunities in your sector.
For each PhD Fair, we take great care to target publicity to the relevant academic departments although any student with an interest in the sector is welcome to attend.
Exhibiting at a UCL PhD Fair will raise the
profile of your organisation amongst our most motivated research students
who are actively pursuing careers in your sector.
There will also be opportunities to engage in one-to-one discussions with individual students if you feel that they may be of interest to your organisation.
