Keep up to date:

Your myUCL CAREERS account is your personal portal for managing activities run by UCL Careers.

Current UCL Students:

Student and keyboard

All students will have a user ID and password issued by UCL's Information Systems Division, (ISD), as detailed on the ISD website.

This will provide single sign-on access to most UCL IT systems, (PORTICO, Moodle etc.), including your myUCL CAREERS account.

Simply click on the link in the Student login button to access your account...

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are about to or have very recently completed your course at UCL, you will still have student access to myUCL CAREERS until your degree has been awarded. You should be notified by your department when this happens but you can also check your PORTICO record for details.

Student Support:

If you are having any problems with your UCL user ID or password, you will need to contact the ISD Service Desk to resolve this. If your student single sign-on details are working for everything else but not myUCL CAREERS, please contact us.

Recent Graduates:

After you complete your course at UCL, all UCL graduates have continued access to services and resources provided by UCL Careers for up to two years.

When your student single sign-on access expires as detailed above, you will need to register a different username and password with us before being able to use your myUCL CAREERS account as a graduate for the first time.

By clicking on the Alumni login and registration button you will have two options:

  1. If you're still using your UCL email account, (see information on UCL Email for Life), you can use the old student format of the email address, (usually: name.surname.yy@ucl.ac.uk*), with the "Reset graduate password" to immediately set up a new password for your account.
  2. If you prefer to use a non-UCL email address as your username for myUCL CAREERS, simply click the "Graduate sign up" button and complete the short registration form so that we can link the new email account to your old student account.

*Note: "yy" in your UCL email address is the year that you started your course.

Graduate Support:

If you are having issues setting up a new username and / or password as a graduate, please contact us for assistance.

Research Staff:

If you are employed by UCL as a member of research staff, (including postdoctoral research staff), you will need to register your details with us to set up a myUCLCareers account.

By clicking on the Research Staff button you will have two options:

  1. For first time use, you will need to select the "Register" option. All UCL staff have a UCL user ID and password issued by ISD as detailed on their website. When prompted to create a username for your myUCLCareers account, you MUST use your email address in the format: "userid@ucl.ac.uk" and then complete the other details on the registration form.
  2. Once you have received email notification that your registration has been approved, click the "Log in" button and use your user ID and main UCL password to log in to your account.

Research Staff Support:

If you are having issues with the registration form, please contact UCL Careers.

If you need support with your UCL user ID and / or password, please contact UCL ISD.
