Careers Fairs

What to Expect / Make the most of the Fair...

UCL Careers Fair

At our popular industry-specific fairs, you’ll get one-on-one time with many employers and graduate recruiters looking to hire UCL students and graduates.

It’s a great opportunity to speak to managers, recruitent personnel and recent graduate hires to find out about current opportunities, get inside information on hiring and selection processes, expand your professional networks as well as being a general chance to ask any other questions you may have.

A broad range of employers attend our fairs, from international organisations to small and medium businesses, so you can really compare what they have to offer.

Effective networking at Recruitment Fairs

Come along to one of our Networking workshops on making the most of events like this and to learn useful tips on how to network effectively...

You should also read through our Networking Helpsheets and our article on Effective Networking (which appears in this year's Ultimate Careers Guide), for further tips.

Check out Exhibitor Listings

We provide a stand plan with details of recruiters attending for all our Fairs. Check the links in the left menu or belopw for details of who will be at the Fair(s) you're interested in...

Additional Reading

You should also make use of the wide range of resources suggested in our Help with… pages to do some thorough research on the industry area that the fair covers to find out more about the sector, different roles available and the companies you're interested in.

After the Event

If you were unable to attend any of the Fairs listed below, you can still use the exhibitor listings to find out which employers were actively recruiting UCL students at the fair and check their websites for information on current opportunities.

Many companies who exhibit at Fairs may also deliver a presentation later in the term. Check our Presentations Listing for details or register with UCLAlert! to be emailed with news about these.

They may also be involved with delivering workshops or one-to-one coaching through our Skills4Work Programme.

The relevant pages of our Help With... section can also help you further research the sector you're interested in, find current vacancies plus give you information on support available when writing applications or preparing for interviews.
