MSc Genetics of Human Diseases
core module
Understanding bioinformatics resources and their application. This module covers a variety of essential online genomic and proteomic resources and introduces Gene Ontology, gene regulation and protein structure. Students will gain experience in using these online resources and in the review of the scientific literature. The BHF-UCL team are the module organisers
2 day Gene Ontology Annotation workshop
This workshop is aimed at training expert scientists in GO annotation and to encourage their future participation in GO annotation. The BHF-UCL team organised this workshop, with support from UCL Genetics Institute.
Demonstration to undergraduate students Gene Ontology Annotation, a practical presentation of GO to third year BSc students, as part of the BIOC3005, Cellular Regulation and Biotechnology module, organised by Andrea Townsend-Nicholson.
Meetings Presentations and posters at meetings provide an excellent forum to promote GO and the Cardiovascular GO annotation initiative.
Publications Articles published in scientific journals also serve to promote GO and the Cardiovascular GO annotation initiative.
