How You Can Help

You can support the UCL Cancer Institute in the following ways:

It is only though the generosity of our supporters that the UCL Cancer Institute Research Trust is able to continue to help the UCL Cancer Institute take the next steps in cancer research, which will have a lasting impact on the survival rates and quality of life of cancer patients for years to come.

Individual Giving

Historically the main focus of our fundraising has been on charitable trusts and foundations, but we are now looking to broaden our supporter base, especially by seeking donations from individuals who wish to help us in the ongoing fight against cancer.

The UCL Cancer Institute is a world-class cancer research facility but, because it has only existed in its current location and with its current name since 2007, it is not widely known about (other than within the cancer research community).

We are able to offer donors who wish to support our work more of a “bespoke” experience; they can choose what sort of research they wish to fund (basic science, translational research or clinical trials) and the type of cancer they have a particular interest in fighting. We can then arrange personal visits to the Institute (by appointment) and updates from the researchers themselves at the occasional “Meet the Scientists” events we arrange. As such we can truly offer donors a “ringside seat in the fight against cancer” and the ability to keep in touch with the research they have helped to fund; we find that many donors are keen to stay in touch in this way, rather than having no idea what has happened to their money, as can be the case with other charities.

If you would like to discuss making a donation to help the research work being undertaken at the UCL Cancer Institute, whether by way of a one-off donation, a regular donation (eg monthly) or a bequest, or would like to visit the Institute in person, please contact our Development and Administration Manager, Helen Quirke, on 020 7679 6325 or by email to h.quirke[at]

If you are interested in helping us in any way please click on the links above or contact Helen Quirke on 020 7679 6325 or h.quirke[at] and they will be pleased to answer any questions and discuss with you possible options for showing your support.
