Welcome to the CR UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre

The Cancer Research UK & UCL Cancer Trials Centre (CTC) work with clinical and non-clinical investigators from across the UK to design and conduct national and international clinical trials and research projects to the highest quality and standards. The aim of our work is to improve patient care and clinical practice, and find out more about how cancer grows and becomes resistant to therapies in order to develop more effective treatments. The CTC is a UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) registered Clinical Trials Unit. Using a breadth of study designs (observational, and phase I to III clinical trials) CTC studies cover the following key areas:

  • Adult and paediatric cancers: haematological malignancies, sarcoma, and lung, gastrointestinal, gynaecological, head & neck, urological and brain cancers.
  • Immunotherapies and targeted drugs, surgery and radiotherapy; and combinations of these along the patient treatment pathway.
  • Advanced cell/gene therapies
  • Screening and early diagnosis
  • Tumour microenvironment and genomic studies.
