I am a lecturer in academic literacies in the Centre for the Advancement in Learning and Teaching and I lead the Academic Communication programme at UCL, which includes
Before joining UCL, I worked as a researcher investigating the impact of learning technologies upon student learning and I lectured in English literature at several UK universities. I am interested in academic literacies, writing and identity, dialogism, electronic communication, assessment, the impact of learning technologies upon higher education, modern Irish poetry and the sociology of texts.
