UCL Medical School Hubs

Frequently asked questions

We get a number of enquiries which ask similar questions about hiring the Clinical Assessment Centre, so to save you some time contacting us (although we would be delighted to hear from you) we have compiled a list of FAQs and responses. If you have a question that isn't addressed below or would like more information please contact us directly.

Is the centre easy to get to?

The Clinical Assessment Centre is well served by public transport and links quickly with local and national train and underground stations. The centre is a 5-10 minute walk from Archway underground station on the Northern Line.

The centre is in the Holborn Union building which is fully wheelchair accessible with lift access to the centre on the 2nd floor.

Is there parking on site?

There are no spaces available on site. There is limited pay and display parking available around the Whittington hospital. However, the centre has excellent public transport links.

Can we bring real patients to the centre?

Yes. We are able to host real patients in the centre and provide comfy chairs and examination couches if required.  

Can we set up our event the day before?

Providing the centre is available, yes. This may incur an additional room hire cost.

Can I book the centre for an evening or weekend event?

Yes, the centre can be booked for events in the evening and weekend. Please contact us about your event and we will discuss a suitable package. 

What type of events do you host in the Clinical Assessment Centre?

We host a wide variety of events in the centre ranging from clinical exams/OSCEs to conferences. Our customers include the GMC, RCP, NCAS and RCPCH.
